USDA-developed resistance and vigor

The POL-Line 2.2 line was specifically bred and refined by USDA researchers to target the beekeeping industry's biggest challenge: Varroa mites. By expressing strong Varroa Sensitive Hygiene (VSH) traits, these colonies suppress mite populations naturally while sustaining strong brood patterns and high honey production throughout the season.

Seasonal availability and introduction

Our mated POL-Line 2.2 queens are available seasonally from April through July from Bees of Tallant in Maryville, Tennessee. For the highest acceptance rate, we strongly recommend introducing your new queen into a smaller setup, such as a 2-frame or 5-frame nucleus colony, before expanding into a full hive body.
